Progestrone during pregnany

Do we always need progestrone during pregnancy? One of my doctor refered it whereas other said its required only in case of past misscariage history. I am confuse about two different opinions.

Consultation required.  Prescription of progesterone in early pregnancy depends on various factors. Since u are more than 35 years of age better to take it as above 35 years risk of spontaneous abortion is higher around 25%

No not always The second dr is absolutely correct Progesterone is required if 1.this is a pregnancy post treatment 2.u hv had history of abortions in the past 3 .u are currently bleeding 4. There is a documented deficiency of progesterone
