Pregnancy - Thyroid

2025-01-26 04:40:21
I am 7 weeks pregnant and had thyroid even before pregnancy. After a positive pregnancy(IVF) my TSH elevated to 12,(02/01/2025) when I was taking 75mg and 100mg thyroxine alternate days. On (13/01/2025) test  when switching to 100mg everyday it dropped to 7.6 uIU/ml. After switching to 125 mg and 100ng alternative days TSH dropped to 4.8 uIU/ml (25/01/2025). While my T3 and T4 levels are normal only TSH is elevated. Should I continue withe the same dosage or increase it.

I think this question is not meant for this forum. Let your Gynaecologist who did IVF for you decide the dose of Eltroxin.

Your TSH is level is 4.8uIU per ml.In pregnancy case if it is more then 4.5uIU per ml then more chances of miscarriage and it adversely effect on fetal devlopment. So in my opinion take 125mcg tab daily. Repeat Thyroid profile after one mth. Take opinion from your doctor also.

Continue with same dose , in pregnancy ideal TSH -2-2.5 So better reach that by continuing the same dose .

Continue same dose, you need to evaluate thyroid levels regularly, and maintaining TSH levels under supervision.
