In 21 weeks the nuchal fold is 3mm is that normal. How can we know if the child does not have down syndrome. Why eco scan  is asked in 24 week

Nuchal fold at 21 wks is of no signficance . It is seen at 11-13wks scan only For downs syndrome you do double marker at 13 wks . For now you can do a quadraple marker test at 21 wks if you have not done double marker test. At 24wks fetal echo is done to see for baby's heart.

No point measuring nuchal thickness at 21 weeks To rule out downs u need nt scan at 13 weeks followed by a double marker test Echo at 24 weeks to rule out heart abnormalities
