Is it possible to have elevated bile acid ( value is 32 ) without itching and any other symptom in third trimester of pregnancy? What can be other reason than cholestasis of pregnancy? As i am in 32nd week just got the bile acid test done as my liver enzymes were elevated in lft report. My gynae has started udiliv 300 mg thrice a day till delivery

Bile aids are usually raised cholestasis of pregnancy. But if you do not have any symptoms of itching, then you can get a repeat by test after one week . Non-alcoholic fatty liver is another cause of mildly raised LFT in pregnancy. But in that also you have to monitor your LFT every month.
