Yes. Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) is also called gestational hypertension.
When does it occur?
It develops after 20 weeks of pregnancy
Blood pressure becomes ≥140/90 mmHg
There was no high BP before pregnancy
It usually resolves after delivery
Important note:
If high BP is associated with protein in urine or symptoms (headache, swelling, vision problems), it may indicate preeclampsia, which needs close monitoring.
