Pregnancy - FT4 TSH , NIPT
I am 13 weeks pregnant.
Recently got NT Scan along with basic blood tests.
Baby heart beat is 190bpm
Double marker test done free Beta HCG is 3.41 should I go for NIPT test?
As heart rate more we met the endocrinologist and T4, TSH test done T4 is more and TSH is 0.014 so the doctor suggested Neo markazole tablet and asked for a free T4 and TSH receptor antibodies test. Both FT4 and TSH receptor antibodies tests came normal . So we repeated T4 and TSH test but again T4 high and TSH is 0.013.
My question is why FT4 and TSH antibodies tests normal but T4 high and TSH low. What to do now should we use Neo markazole.

The total T4 (which includes bound and free form of T4) is normally raised in pregnancy (because of increased in binding proteins due to pregnancy hormones) and the free T4 remains normal.
If TSH is low but Free T4 is normal, there is subclinical hyperthyroidism. It will need treatment if there are any issues with the mother or baby.
In your case the baby's heart rate is on the higher side most probably due to hyperthyroidism and at this stage of pregnancy Neo mercazole is safe and effective to treat it.
