I got to know about my pregnancy after report. Wanted to know what medicines are usually suggested during first trimester of pregnancy. Wanted to check if I am getting scammed as one doctor as suggested 9000/-rs of medicine for the first month.

In a normal, uncomplicated first-trimester pregnancy, only basic supplementation such as folic acid (with or without vitamin B12) is routinely required. Iron and calcium are usually started after 12 weeks of gestation. Other medications (for example progesterone, multivitamins, or additional supportive drugs) are not routinely indicated unless there is a clear medical reason
