Hello! Yes better to go meet a fertility specialist for preconceptional counselling - they will do basic blood tests to rule out any health conditions for you and your partner and also do basic ultrasound scan to check your uterus and ovaries. If everything is good - folic acid tablet is advised. If any abnormal test results are reported - medications will be advised accordingly. Good luck
