I have operated my wisdom tooth 5 days ago. The stiches are still there though. Is it safe to smoke now.

Avoid Smoking for atleast 7 to 10 days ..as this increases oral temperature to quite high level ..that might lead to dislodgement of blood clot and socket infection..this condition is quite painful

Hi, i would advise you not to smoke till you get your stitches removed and your dentist gives you a green signal after a check up. Because smoking can irritate the wound and may cause loosening of stitches or may also cause infection. So, pls wait till the stitches are removed.

It should be ok. However heavy smoking may delay healing.
Health Tips
Do warm water gargles with salt . This will help the wound heal faster
