Post surgery

I had surgery on 5th October...on 25th December the plate was bent and fracture I have noticed...again in this xray the plate was broken...and bone was fractured again..I am attaching the xray...I just want to know If I ll leave like this..is there a chance that the bone will joint by itself...after removing the plate or we need to replate this

Most fractures can heal without surgery too. Now that you have gone for surgery and the plate is broken, this complicates your healing process. 1st get the plate removed. If you want to give natural healing a chance then wait for 6 months for bone to heal itself. If lucky it may heal in 1 to 2 months. If still not healing after 6 months then you have to choose... You can choose to leave it as it is of your daily activities are normal and you don't feel any weakness in arm. Many people like fully functional lives with a broken clavicle which never healed! Or you can choose to get it operated with another plate and bone graft from waist region. And again wait for healing 1-6months. Sounds scary I know but you will be fine either way. Take vitamin d injection for help in healing
