Post cesarean antibiotics

My wife c section done. And yesterday she was discharged and doctor gave Linezolid 600 mg Acelafenac and peracetamol tablet Pantop 40 mg. Iron syrup and prohance powder. Mostly I have seen amoxycyclin antibiotics but it is not there. Is linezolid good compare to amoxyciclin tablet. Please guide us.

Linezolid is much more expensive and stronger than Amoxicillin. To me it looks like over-treatment.
