Polycythemia vera

My mother has polycythemia vera since 6years. Jak 2 positive. Taking hydroxyurea 500mg daily and warf 2 mg . Is this pv will transform into leukaemia or myelofibrosis in future? Please reply.

History noted - JAK 2 positive PV JAK2-positive PV patients have a higher risk of developing myelofibrosis and acute leukemia than those who are JAK2-negative. Still the risk is usually less than 1% per year for Jak 2 positive cases to progress. Not all cases will progress .
