After the surgery, healing will vary depending on the type of surgery. In open healing type, it would take over 6 weeks for complete healing. In primary closure and flap method, 2 to 3 weeks. In minimal invasive laser method, heaing within 1 week to 10 days. In case you have to be seated for long period, these time period will apply. However if it is not a sedantary job, you can return to work much earlier. Pease continue with wound care as adviced.

Return to work depends on the nature of work; if it involves prolonged sitting then it has to be avoided till suture removal, which is approximately 2 weeks. And then a coccyx cut out cushion can be used to sit, as it avoids pressure over the wound.
