Persistent focal mastitis with phlegmon

Dear doctors, Iam 24 years unmarried female having left breast pain from 8 months. Had 2 ultrasounds (birads 2) within 6 months. there is no change in size of lumps but focal mastitis with phlegmon in upper outer quadrant which is persistent for 8 months even after taking antibiotics. Intermammary lymph nodes are inflammed. Why it is not cured even after taking antibiotics regularly. Please suggest

It is not cured in spite of antibiotics because it may not be mastitis. I hope you also had a clinical examination by a General Surgeon or a Gynaecologist in addition to having a mammography.

Antibiotic should be given after culture sensitivity of the pus connect with a  general surgeon in your area
