Hii doc..i want to know can Normal T3 and T4 but 7.8 TSH value can cause irregular period and missed periods. Prolonged spotting like more than a month while missed periods..

Hello,
This is a case of sub clinical hypothyroidism. You need not start medication as of now….
First you need to do a urine pregnancy test to exclude pregnancy….
Secondly ANTI TPO test needs to be done.
Thirdly repeat thyroid profile after 2 months.

A TSH above the normal range, even with normal T3 and T4, can sometimes affect ovulation and lead to irregular or prolonged bleeding, though it isn't the only possible cause.

Please repeat the thyroid test along with anti-TPO antibodies and rule out pregnancy before starting any treatment.
