Periods after salpingectomy

Good Morning Doctor, I had my left salpingectomy on Dec 4 due to ectopic pregnancy. My hcg was around 500 only during surgery. My gynec said.. periods will come after a month. But today I'm just 23 days after surgery and getting brown discharge. My surgery sight healed completely. Recovery is going good . But Yesterday i had mild pelvic pain with mild brown discharge, other than that I have no fever or any other pain symptoms. Looks like i might get my periods today or tomorrow. Is it normal to get periods after 3 weeks of left salpingectomy? I'm worried.

Periods can return 3–6 weeks after salpingectomy. Brown discharge + mild pain at 3 weeks is usually old blood and likely the start of your first period and considered generally normal.
Next Steps
If heavy bleeding, fever, foul smell, or severe/worsening pain then, consult Gynaecologist.

It's difficult to determine that this is the regular cycle.Do a ultrasound scan in case of doubt

Yes, this is normal. After salpingectomy for ectopic pregnancy, periods can return as early as 3 weeks, especially since your hCG level was low (~500) at surgery. Brown discharge with mild pelvic pain usually indicates that periods are about to start.
Next Steps
If bleeding becomes heavy, pain worsens, or symptoms persist, please consult.
Health Tips
As long as there is no fever, severe pain, foul-smelling discharge, or heavy bleeding, this is likely due to hormonal adjustment after surgery and not a complication.
