Periodontal problem while having braces

2017-10-01 21:46:54
I have periodontal problem before I has fitted with braces but my dentist had done scaling and planing before that. However I went abroad and was not able to see my dentist every month. Now, I have an xray done and it showed bone loss but I dont know how severe it was. Can I still continue having my braces while doing some periodontal treatment? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It will be difficult to provide a rational suggestion without a look at the clinical condition of the teeth and the X Ray. Kindly post the same if possible. Your dentist who performs the clinical examination is the best judge for such decisions and you can discuss your queries in detail with him/her. Regards.
