Your menstrual cycle can sometimes get delayed due to stress, travelling, changes in routine, sleep disturbances or hormonal fluctuations. White discharge and premenstrual symptoms may occur before periods, but they do not confirm that menstruation will start immediately.
Since you had intercourse in September, if it was unprotected, kindly do a urine
pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy, even though you had a period subsequently. If the test is negative, wait for a few days as periods may occur spontaneously.
Don't panic. A short delay in menstruation is quite common and is not necessarily a cause for concern.
Health Tips
If your periods do not start within 1–2 weeks, consult a gynaecologist for further evaluation. Avoid taking hormonal tablets to induce periods without medical advice.
