The habit can be stopped with certain appliances that has to be fixed in child's mouth which have good results to stop ssuch habit. Visit a dentist and ask for habit breaking appliance.

Kindly get your childs evaluation done first in order to get a picture of what needs to be done. A couple of things to be considered, does she have any other sibling(brother/sister), are both the parents working, many things needs to be addressed before we can assess why the child is doing thumb sucking.
