Yes pcod is detected through scan - bulky ovaries with multiple cysts will be seen . Prolactin is a normal change . Prolactin high is also a cause for irregular cycles. Mere stress can also increase prolactin levels . To access how severe your pcod is u need to conduct few hormonal assay . Pcos is a syndrome .
