I suffered an injury while training and had to undergo the above mentioned. I have been advised to resume training after 3 months but my question was how long can I sit? I have been advised to sit on chairs since it has been a week since the surgery happened but I'm not sure how long can I sit. I'm a student and the past few days have affected my studies a lot. So if I sit for like 6 hours in sessions of 2-2 hours, will that be stressful for my knee or can I do it?

Knee mobilisation as advised by the treating surgeon...sitting won't create any problems ....avoid prolonged sitting ....better to mobilise in between say once in an hour or two hours

Please consult operating surgeon as he would better know which part of meniscus was excised and which movement will be affected by it

Hello Mobilisation of your operated knee should be done according to your surgeon, because only he know the exact part of meniscus report and the post operative condition of your knee. If the surgery was uneventful then, You can sit as long as you are comfortable, preventing jerk and twist around the operated knee
Next Steps
Consult your operating surgeon
