I'm not a Urosurgeon, but I can offer some general suggestions. Chronic bacterial prostatitis can be challenging to treat, and it's important to follow your doctor's advice. If you're not seeing improvement with your current treatment plan, consider discussing the following options with your healthcare provider: 1. **Antibiotics**: In some cases, long-term or targeted antibiotic therapy might be recommended to address the bacterial infection. 2. **Consult a Specialist**: If your current doctor isn't yielding the desired results, consider seeking a second opinion from a urologist or a specialist who has experience with prostatitis. 3. **Review Lifestyle**: Lifestyle factors like diet, hydration, stress management, and exercise can play a role in managing prostatitis. Discuss any necessary adjustments with your doctor. 4. **Alternative Therapies**: Alongside Ayurvedic treatments, you might explore other alternative therapies like acupuncture or physical therapy, but always consult your doctor before trying new treatments. 5. **Medication Adjustment**: If you're experiencing side effects from your current medications, your doctor might be able to adjust your treatment plan to better suit your needs. 6. **Manage Symptoms**: While focusing on curing the infection, also discuss with your doctor strategies to manage the symptoms, such as pain and discomfort. 7. **Uroflowmetry**: This test measures the flow and force of urine, and can help identify any urinary issues that might be contributing to your prostatitis. Remember, your healthcare provider is the best source of guidance for your specific situation. It's important to have open communication with them about your concerns, symptoms, and treatment options.
