A tooth is having a constant throb .trying to see myself I can only see a small brown spot and half of it seems like filling is there .but some portion has browm spots..why is there pain and if filinh came off little I never came to know.is that possble Can a smal minor cavity which one usually ignores cause constant pain and sore gums..

Throbbing pain comes when your decay or cavity has reached the nerve. This leads to nerve getting infected and caused excruciating pain which even painkillers cannot help relieve pain.
Next Steps
Take  painkillers for now. Visit a dentist for an xray/ radiograph and then he will suggest the treatment after analyzing the xray.

Dear practo user Mostly cavities looks small superficial and spread inside . Complaining tooth will need treatment. Consult specialist dentist for as medicine will give relief for some time only.

Hi... You need to visit dentist for consultation. After x ray it will be clear. Most of the time interdental decay cannot be seen... Apply colgate pain out liquid. Take care
