Pain near shin muscles when walking

2022-01-02 21:41:33
Whenever I walk for more than 100 200 meters my shin muscles start to hurt till the point where I have to stop walking. Im not diabetic but taking blood pressure medication for Bp issues. B12 and vit d supplements as well. GP prescribed calcium tabs for 4 5 days and that didn't help. Any suggestions or advice will be helpful .

Maybe you have SHIN SPLINT but without proper assessment i cannot say that it is confirmed diagnosis. You should go to physiotherapy clinic near you and get your assessment done. Till then apply ice over the painful area for 10 mins 2-3 times a day and take some muscle relaxants.

Are you a regular walker? Do you maintain correct BMI? If not strengthen your lower body muscles. Start strengthening and stretching exercises gradually with proper guidance.
