Go for x-ray and if no fracture or dislocation is identified, you might be having ligament injury which can be healed with physiotherapy.

Your symptoms suggest possible fracture or joint dislocation. Immobilise and give rest to injured hand. Keep it elevated and apply ice packs. Tab Enzomac will help reduce swelling.
Next Steps
Visit an orthopaedic surgeon for X-Ray evaluation.
Health Tips
do not ignore the injury.
