The fact that one leg is thinner than the other shows that the problem has been a chronic one and it is probably due to muscular wasting.
I would suggest you to consult an Orthopaedician, get clinically assessed, take a x-ray and if needed, MRI of the LS spine too. This would diagnose or rule out sciatica. Accordingly, you can get treated further.
