Pain 1 month after wisdom extraction
I got my wisdom tooth extracted on may 28. So its more than month now. It was pulled out, no bone was cut. There was no pain or discomfort at first. But a week ago that area started becoming very sensitive. Is that a sign of infection? The sensitivity started exactly 25 days after it was pulled out. Please help.

The possible causes of your pain may be due to several factors.
1) Healing : Did the extraction socket heal properly? If not you might have a condition called Dry Socket which is painful and may cause irritation. it is caused due to delayed healing, no proper maintenance of oral hygiene after extraction, or consumption of alcohol or tobacco after surgical procedure
2) Periodontal status of the adjacent tooth
3) The adjacent tooth might be carious
4) Local irritating factors

Healing must be ongoing, but the sensitivity cannot occur because of the extracted tooth. You can use an anti sensitive toothpaste and do warm saline rinses. Need to see the Dental X-ray done to confirm & complete the diagnosis.
