Otosclerosis is a condition where there will be fixation of small bone in middle ear leading to hearing loss. This is a chronic progressive condition and treatment includes surgical and rehabilitative. Stapdectomy was the procedure of choice in earlier days but most of the surgeons perform stapedotomy nowadays. Difference between these two surgeries is minimal and in good hands both give equally good results. Hearing
