Osteoporosis, weak knees

My mom is having trouble while walking because of her weight which puts a lot of pressure on her knees. She is showing early stages of artritis and osteoporosis. Doctor has told her to lose weight but as she has a sweet tooth, it becomes a challenge for me to stop her from eating sweets. she doesn't like medicines help

Hello,as doctor told she has to shed her weight , there is no other way. consuming a balanced diet with adequate calcium and vitamin D helps her. Estrogen hormone therapy after menopause ( referred to as hormone replacement therapy or HRT) has been shown to prevent bone loss, increase bone density, and prevent bone fractures
