Fibro-epithelial polyp does not recur as cancer
✔ A flat white patch without ulcer, lump, or induration is low risk
✔ Fluctuating whiteness suggests local irritation or healing changes
Continue topical Kenacort only if prescribed, for short courses
Maintain good oral hygiene
Avoid sharp teeth, dentures, tobacco, smoking, gutkha, alcohol
Ensure there is no constant trauma at that site
A repeat biopsy is NOT routinely required unless you notice:
Increase in size or thickness
Ulceration or bleeding
Pain or hardness
Rapid change in appearance
Persistence without improvement for several months
Regular follow-up with an oral surgeon or ENT every 3–6 months is sufficient for observation.
