Even though low level of alcohol consumption has been found beneficial for the heart in various studies (mostly in western population), we don’t recommend that to patients for the risk of abuse and dependency in the long run.
Alcohol can increase Triglyceride levels, can cause abnormal heart beats , increase BP and weaken heart muscle in the long run.
