There are lots of factor which determines the prognosis (probability of getting remission or cure) of OCD in a given individual i.e Duration, severity, symptoms, age of onset & family history of OCD, response and compliance to treatment, awareness about illness, comorbid illnesses, premorbid personality, attitude or behavior of family members. Minimum duration of treatment to decide about treatment response is 6 months.
