Fear of contamination, excess hand washing, checking, anxiety and irritability are some of the features of OCD. It is advisable to go to a psychiatrist for proper assessment and diagnosis. They will be able to assess you properly and treat accordingly. Without going to a psychiatrist it is not possible to confirm the diagnosis or start any treatment. Consult a psychiatrist at the earliest. The best treatment is a combination of medication and behavioral therapy.
