Hi
Okay, let’s take a breath and look at this together. I hear how overwhelming it’s become for you—this constant need to keep things clean and hygienic, to the point where it’s stealing your sleep, peace of mind, and ability to enjoy even the simple things. You feel stressed, frustrated, irritated, and maybe even guilty for not being able to “just stop.” But please know this—it’s not your fault. Your brain is caught in a loop, and OCD makes that loop feel like survival.
But you are not powerless. With the right support, especially through a therapy approach called CBT with ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention), we can help your mind slowly learn that discomfort doesn’t always mean danger. You’ll learn how to sit with the anxious thought—“Is this clean enough?”—without giving in to the urge to fix it. The more we practice, the quieter that urge becomes.
It will take time, patience, and kindness toward yourself. But yes—relief is absolutely possible. You’re not broken. You’re just stuck in a pattern your mind has learned to rely on, and we can unlearn it—together.
