Hello sir,
He seems to be going through a transition phase.. from being an adolescent to an adult..
during this a kid starts becoming stubborn & wants freedom, wants to take decision on his own & doesn't like too much parental supervision.. also peer pressure will make him to demand things which are difficult for you to provide..
just look for few concerns:
1. His friend circle
2. Any possibility of doing alcohol or smoking..
3. What are his priorities or interest
4. Whether he is motivated enough for studies & how confident he is..
(Many kids after passing 10th
std loose their confidence due to poor experience in tuition classes, fake dream shown to them by tuition classes, bad quality of teaching than expected & competition they face. So what they do is try to spend more time with friends to avoid confrontation with studies which they aren't confident of & ultimately loose interest in studies.. )
5. Any emotional issues he is going through which needs to be addressed
6. Or just becoming stubborn with age which seems to be most probable..
if his behavior becomes more troublesome
- consult a counselor nearby
- talk to him
- or hope that with time he might become more responsible & mature
- don't give everything he demands, be assertive when to say no..
Next Steps
consult a counselor or a psychiatrist nearby
