Nose Block Related Issues

I have been experiencing severe nose blockage since last few months. None of the medications worked. In the complete blood test, it showed that the IgE value was 1200+. Could you please let me know, if high IgE value causes Nose Blockage and in turn Body imbalance?

Hi. Nose block can be due to several reasons. Some can be structural like a deviated nasal septum, some can be functional causing a swelling of the tissues inside the nose, like allergic rhinitis. High IgE is suggestive of allergy. A course of intranasal steroids and anti-allergy tablets can help. These medications are best taken under the supervision of an ENT specialist after an initial evaluation. However, if symptoms persist, it is best to visit an ENT specialist near you for further evaluation including a Nasal Endoscopy to ensure a correct diagnosis.  Warm regards, Dr Aanchal, Therapeia centre ,Bangalore
