Crown acts like a shield or barrier to prevent reinfection and also possible chances of fracture of rct treated tooth . So it is always best to get a crown above the rc treated tooth

The latest concept says that giving a crown  totally depends on extent of tooth decay or cavity. But if your Dr had called you for crown, I guess you probably need it.
Next Steps
do not bite hard from that tooth. go for crown when the conditions are better
Health Tips
keep the tooth clean and free from any food lodgement

Hi dear, Mostly after Root canal , crowns are given so that the Tooth does not break as the tooth becomes brittle after rct . It is recommended to go for crown as in future, there is a possibility of fracture or more decay of tooth .
