Hello,
This is completely normal. There can be many reasons for crying at this age, such as a wet diaper, hunger, tiredness, colic or an overstimulated baby. Based on the history you have provided, there does not appear to be anything worrisome.
As your baby is only 7 weeks old, proper sleep and feeding patterns are still getting established. This usually improves gradually over the next few weeks.
Regarding spitting up milk, this is most commonly due to physiological reflux, which occurs because the sphincter between the stomach and the food pipe is still immature at this age.
What you can do
* Burp the baby well after every feed.
* Keep the baby in an upright position for 20–30 minutes after feeding.
* Avoid overfeeding.
* Give feeds in small quantities at frequent intervals.
* Ensure proper positioning while feeding.
Please consult your paediatrician if
* There is persistent vomiting after every feed.
* The baby becomes very irritable or lethargic.
* Vomiting is yellowish-green (bilious).
* There is blood in the stools.
* The baby is feeding poorly or passing fewer wet diapers.
If your baby is active, feeding well, sleeping reasonably well, and passing an adequate number of wet diapers, there is no need to worry at present.
