Kindly try to get in touch with the patient for whom the needle was used. Take his medical history and proceed accordingly. In future break the needle soon after use

Hello needle prick injuries are tricky, depending upon the patient on whom the needle was used you can take the call. Tetanus shot is advised , if the patient is healthy with no conditions and you trust the patient then no problem. If not request the patient to get tested for certain conditions like hepatitis etc if not you have to get yourself tested .

Are you a doctors or patient ? Just check who the needle was used on before. Contact the last person whom and ask his medical history . Followed by blood test and precautionary doses as recommended by the physician
