Need some counselling on Genetics.

Hello Doctor, I am from Chennai. I have some query on Cousin marriage as my parents were in discussion with my uncle  (my father's brother in law) for my marriage. She is my third cousin and i wanted to know how the genetical problems will affect me or our baby. Thank you.

1 check both of yours blood group.sometime it create trouble for second baby. 2 if any genetic disorder like allergy,family hitory of hypertension ,diabetes etc. preveil in your family then it is chances to deliver to next generation . Otherwise there is no issue.

Should take blood test because if there is any genetic disease in any of you then it could transfer to next generation.

Hi If some genetic disorder is in either of your family then you need to evaluate . Otherwise usually there will be no big genetic chaos. You must rule out history of disease like thalassemia , etc.
