Need of early pregnancy scan

In 5th week 5 days or 5th week 6 days generally we don't see any conclusive thing in scan like heartbeat, still why some doctors prefer to go for this early scan in pregnancy? Any specific reason behind it?

It may be done for a specific set of patients like those who have undergone IUI or IVF to find the location of pregnancy. The heartbeat is usually seen between 6 to 7 weeks
