Distress - are when it's a one time irregularity like a job loss or a breakup Development - is when we require therapy for small stuff like interpersonal issues and day to day functioning. People can approach therapist for many reason, like related to different issues emotional , family or personal or anything related to deal with day to day challenges. its not that any body are suffering from disease or disorder people have to approach psychologist/ therapist/ psychiatrist. Some time just for support or to step to better path in their life they approach counsellors/ therapist.
