Narrow palate

I am 18 and have underwent braces with 4 premolar extractions , my treatment is almost about to over. Can I get a palate expander now , my tongue feels so crowded (IMW is around 30 mm)

Hello. I will suggest you to please get an opinion from your treating orthodontist. All cases do not require palate expansion. An orthodontist will need to evaluate if expansion is needed for your case. You got your four premolars extracted due to which the volume of your oral cavity is reduced. Your tongue will take a few months to get adjusted to the new volume. So please give it some time. If you're please unsure get yourself evaluated.

Yes, you can have a palate expander . Expander used to widen the upper jaw. Discuss with your orthodontist . He will evaluate your alignment ,bite and overall oral  health and give you a best treatment
