My son refused to go pop.
My 3 year old son has been holding his stool for the past 2-3 months. We have tried a lot to make him sit on the toilet or do potty work but he refuses. He does not do potty while sitting anywhere. He holds his stool all the time. When he doesn't do potty work for 4-5 days, we use glycerin suppository capsule every 4-5 days. We are very worried as to how to make him agree to do potty work. We have also used polyethylene glycol but still he holds his potty. We are unable to understand how to solve this problem. Please suggest.
This is most probably functional constipation. Your baby has deep discomfort to the act of passing stools, so he holds it, which further makes it hard and painful to pass, hence the cycle continues.

Child is holding stools and refusing to sit on potty because of the discomfort he is having on passing stools. Since the child is passing stools only after 4-5 days, stools will be hard and painful.

you should consult a pediatrician physically and disimpaction of stools should be done- either by giving oral medicines/ suppository and enema. after disimpaction child should take maintenance dose of medicine for about 1 month.
