Hi, why do my heels and feet pains when i wake up in the morning or after sitting or lying down for longer time. As soon as i starts walking after long rest my feets have stabbing pain. And for sometime its unbearable and i have to again sit for a while and then walk again. The pain goes away after walking several feets. Please suggest what is happening and what to do?

Might be plantar fasciitis/calcaneal spur (bony heel growth)
Next Steps
Take basic pain medicines for 3-5 days. Apply Ice. Use soft sole footwear. Avoid slippers. Do gastrocnemius (calf muscle) stretches. Heel X-ray (lateral view)
Health Tips
Calf stretches should help.
