I have Pain in lower back that radiating to left leg...Doctor advised me to take INTRATHECAL INJECTION as medicines are not effective enough to relieve the pain...IT COSTS AROUND 35000..SO WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS IS THIS INJECTION BENEFICIAL TO CURE THE PAIN...

This injection is beneficial to relieve the pain ,but for only a stipulated period of time. We need to actually treat the cause..Is it a disc prolapse or tight hamstring that's causing radiation to leg?MRI reports will give clarification.. Need to take a call accordingly.. You should consider conservative treatment first, if that fails to give you relief you should consider injection. This injections are effective but short lived and can make you dependent on them. Consult a physiotherapist.
