MRI report confusion

MRI reports taken at two different intervals vary greatly, knee still clinically showing signs of ACL tear. But the latest MRI report fails to show signs of acl tear - reason of confusion. Please suggest Injury sustained due to sideways knee twist while playing football almost a year back.
