Moringa in ordinary dietary amounts, such as drumstick in food, is safe, but concentrated tablets are not necessary for a 72-year-old on amlodipine. Moringa can mildly lower blood pressure and blood sugar, so combined with her antihypertensive it may cause giddiness, weakness, or a fall from low blood pressure. Elderly patients also often have reduced kidney function, and herbal supplements are not standardised in strength or purity. Good nutrition, protein-rich meals, adequate hydration, and regular blood pressure monitoring will benefit her far more than any supplement. Please book a consultation with her prescription and recent reports before starting moringa tablets so it can be advised safely.

moringa extracts may help reduce blood pressure due to antioxidant and plant compounds that relax blood vessels, but human clinical evidence is mixed. Use Powder without any mixture of other herbs. Combining moringa tablets with prescribed blood pressure drugs (like amlodipine, lisinopril, or diuretics) can cause your blood pressure to drop too low. So keep checking your mother's BP regularly after starting moringa extract

- Prefer plain moringa leaf powder/tablet, not a multi-herbal "BP-lowering" formulation. - start with low dose - monitor bp regularly for a week - donot stop her bp medicine
Next Steps
monitor for dizziness, weakness, light-headedness or unusually low BP.
Health Tips
For a 72-year-old whose BP is well controlled on amlodipine, moringa isn't necessary for hypertension treatment. If the goal is general nutrition, incorporating moringa leaves as food is preferable to concentrated tablets.
