Over weight women have excess fat deposits in the subcutaneous tissue (the fat just under the skin). The female hormones have a tendency to get deposited in the fat tissue and then they are not available to work on your uterus and other body organs which make a female a female. So one visible side effect of fat deposit is scanty periods or no periods.
