Dear Doctors, Please clarify us on this We took 7th month scan and it says Right renal pelvis APD measures 7.3mm At 5th month scan it was 4.3mm. Doctor said we need to treat the kid after delivery only. But we are afraid and worried. Could you please clarify us whether this is a serious one to be worried or what are all the treatment we need to get the child after delivery. Should we need to be careful in anything? Thank you!

Pelviectasis means that the system of the kidney which collects urine before it is passed out of the body is a little broader than normal. Your kidneys are functioning normally. After the baby is born the baby will have another ultrasound scan of the abdomen. No immediate treatment is required. In fact no treatment may be required at all. For further information please consult with me on Practo.

Nothing serious if the double marker test was screen negative and the rest of the parameters in the anomalies scan is normal Following delivery after 6 weeks the ultrasound Kub  of the baby should be done Further decision regarding any treatment shall be decided as per the findings as of now you can't do anything about it
